4D TAPI Plug-in will allow you to develop 4D applications, which can work with TAPI (Telephony Application Programming Interface). It means that telephony functionality is available now in 4D.
This Plug-in allows working with telephony devices such as ISDN controller, modem or H323 line. It only depends on the installed TAPI Service Providers (TSP).
4D TAPI Plug-in features:
- Initialize and shutdown TAPI;
- Receive incoming calls from several devices at once;
- Make outgoing calls from a beforehand chosen device;
- Independent control of every call;
- Receive and process information comcerning changes of the call status (the call has been finished, held, etc.);

- Receive full information about the caller if it has been provided by device;

- Get information about the device which accepted the incoming call;
- Generation and detection of DTMF-tone dialer digits;
- Forward calls and arrange conferences;

- Obtain complete information about device features;
- Manage outgoing calls using different address types;
- IP telephony support - H323 line compatibility.
